MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY 20th JUNE 2019 AT
THE WELLINGTON VALE, DARNEL ROAD, WATERLOOVILLE COMMENCING AT 7.00 pm

001/20P Apologies
Apologies were received from Cllr Carden
002/20P Declarations of Interest
Cllr Barneveld declared a personal and prejudicial interest as she was a neighbour of the applicant in
application 19/00956/HOU
003/20P Election of Vice-Chairman
The Chairman invited nominations for the Vice-Chairman of the Planning Committee.
Cllr Carden was proposed and seconded.
It was unanimously RESOLVED that Cllr Carden be elected as Vice-Chairman of the Planning
Committee for the municipal year 2019/2020.
004/20P Public Participation: There was no requirement for a public session.

Proposal: Enclose driveway with railings and gates to provide a more secure area which will be pet
safe and prevent people from stepping directly onto a highway. Design of railings to match
those elsewhere in the development.

The Parish Council of Newlands, by a majority decision, raised NO OBJECTION
Cllr Barneveld took no part in the discussion or decision on this application.
The meeting closed at 7.14 pm. The next meeting will be held on 18 July 2019
006/20P Outstanding Matters and Matters Arising
Cllr Crichton summarized the difference in handling enforcement cases depending on whether
land had been adopted by the local authority
007/20P Aquind
The Committee received a newsletter from Aquind and noted the future timetable. This allowed
for a further consultation in 2020. At that time, comments would need to be made regarding access
by emergency services whilst any disruption occurred during cable laying work. A resident had
already identified this concern in her comments during the previous consultation. NOTED.
