002/22F Declarations of Interest: There were no declarations of interest made.
003/22F Amenities Parish Warden: The salary scales for this position were discussed. Cllr M Read had
researched the requirements for the role, he suggested spinal scale 12 which starts at £17,173 rising
to spinal scale 15 at £17,952 per annum. Salary would be determined in line with experience of the
applicant. Cllr M Read proposed the scale for adoption. Cllr D Crichton seconded the proposal. It
was unanimously agreed to adopt the suggested pay-scale.
004/22F Contribution to Planter Project: A brief discussion took place regarding the project. The Parish
Council is keen to support this. Residents had requested a contribution from the Council for funding
towards prizes for children as they wish to hold a children’s competition related to the planter project.
The type and level of contribution was discussed. The Clerk informed Council that the request had
been made for vouchers for tools for the children to use. Children of all ages are being encouraged
to enter the competition. Cllr A Berry suggested that B and Q vouchers are considered as they will
supply additional funds for community projects. The Chairman agreed that this could be considered
but this may be more suited to a larger project. Other garden supply store’s, such as Homebase run
similar schemes. Due to current circumstances it was felt Amazon vouchers may be suitable. It was
unanimously agreed to support the project offering vouchers equivalent to £60, first prize £30,
second prize £20 and third prize £10. The Clerk was asked to contact the applicant and will
release the vouchers when required.
Cllr L Price suggested that Council adopt a policy for future contribution requests. Cllr A Carden
agreed to draft a policy. NOTED.

th
May 2021.
