Explanation to answer of, “No” box one, section one:
Newlands PC had hoped to have the internal audit completed by the deadline of June 30th 2024. The clerk/RFO had arranged a date with the internal auditor but due to family commitments, he could not carry out the audit at the end of April as arranged. Our PC then became one of the last on his list of local authorities to audit. I received his report back on 20th June, which was too late for approval at a council meeting before June 30th.
The PC will take the appropriate steps next year, ensuring the internal auditor is aware of the last meeting before 30th June 2025.
